Cadence中Schematic，Layout以及Waveform的打印输出及图片文件后处理及EPS格式图片转EMF格式图片之GSview+ pstoedit文中提到，转成EMF格式的文件主要提供给Word或PowerPoint使用。但是使用常规尺寸的Paper Size打印出来的图片尺寸都比较大，或者比例不适合直接在PowerPoint中直接使用，往往需要手工进行适当缩放，有时候不等比例缩放还会导致图片上文字的失真。如果能自己预先定义好合适的Paper Size，打印并转换后的EMF就可以直接粘贴进Office系软件直接使用了。
之前提到Cadence中打印使用的Postscript打印机通过.cdsplotinit定义，比如：

计算自己想要的Page Size的方法。这里以定义一个5" x 7"的打印页面，Side Margin为0.21"
（1）Multiply the printable area and the margins by the plotter’s resolution, such as 300 DPI.
      4.79 x 300 = 1437
      6.79 x 300 = 2037
（2）Calculate the offset.
      0.21x 300 = 63
（3）Round paper sizes down; round offsets up.

（4）Adjust the numbers as necessary. 在这里我们暂不调整，那么使用（3）中得到的数据，添加该尺寸的页面至打印机选项中得语句为：
