Abstract: A two-dimensional (2D) augmented Hammerstein (2D-AH) model is proposed for the first time to achieve high modelling accuracy for concurrent dual-band power amplifiers (PAs). By considering the nonlinear memory effect, the 2D-AH model is an augmented version of the conventional Hammerstein structure and can provide comparable performance to the prior 2D-DPD model. But it outperforms the 2DDPD model in terms of complexity. Measurements were carried out for a dual-band Doherty PA, both for forward modelling and for DPD application. The results prove the superiority of the 2D-AH model.
